Had a slice here a long time ago and was disappointed. Based on strong Yelp reviews decided this week to try Gianni's again and have a fresh pie: it was pretty disappointing. Bland sauce and very little of it, almost no cheese, so all in all a pizza on par with (maybe even not as good as) the fast food pizza chains for about three times their price. I guess for some folks calling it NY STYLE makes up for a multitude of sins. My thought is If you serve mediocre pizza it should at least be inexpensive. Clearly Gianni's has its fans, but why is a mystery to me. A high price for a low quality pizza is not a winning formula in my book so I will not return.

Greatly over rated. The pepperoni pizza was greasy and had a salty taste. The order taker and others were indifferent. The tables while not dirty had crumbs on them. Maybe it was an off night because customers were steadily coming in.

Opon walking in I was completely impressed by the interior and it is really clean. Everything in the outlet tends to be dumpy and run down! But definitely stop by here! I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the fact that they heated the pizza up barely. I thought about asking it have them heat it up more but I was in a bit of a hurry to meet up with family.

We were in FL visiting from Chicago. Needless to say, FL is not known for pizza and most places are not so great. We found other reviews on Yelp after needing a pizza fix and this place did not disappoint. Hidden in a strip mall next to Chuck E. Cheese I did not have great expectations. The pizza was outstanding. The crust was perfectly crispy. My kids had the spaghetti and that was polished off as well. Clean and staff was more than polite and helpful. Always nice to find little place far from home with food that reminds you of home. We will definitely be back, even if it is just for a quick slice.

Chance brought us here. Fantastic fresh made dough, lots of yummy mozzarella and a sauce that compliments the fresh veggies! Had the "TheWorks" and left stuffed and happy! The garlic french fries also earned an A+.

LOVE THE GRANDMA PIZZA!!! It's been almost a year since I have been back in FL and I have to admit, the last time that I was in St Pete was the last time I had such authentic NY style pizza! A little pricey but for the quality, it is absolutely worth it!!!

The Pizza is the best in St. Pete handsdown! If you are after a place with great pizza and wonderful service this is the place. Small interior if staying there, they do take away too! Try their antipasta salad too. Affordable, kid friendly, authentic, and yummy!

The other reviewers are pretty much spot on. The pizza is great I particularly like the philly cheese steak pizza. The garlic knots are awesome. The inside seating is a little limited so take out might be a good option during peak times. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. I can't think of anything they could do better so hence 5 stars.

We just got home from New York & I think this pizza is every bit as good if not better than NYC. We order from here all the time and have never been disappointed. If they delivered we would be eating this pizza entirely too often! We get the margarita pizza w fresh garlic, pepperoni and sausage added!

Gianni's is a hidden gem nestled in between a Bealls Outlet, a Big Lots & across from Chuck E Cheese in a strip mall at 9th Ave & 58th. A friend recommended Gianni's as the best pizza in St. Pete. Gianni's is a real treat. The menu offers many choices. We've become regular customers. My husband orders the pizza and agrees with our friend saying, it is one of the best pizza places in the Burg. I order the Antipasto salad which is a meal all by itself. Generous amounts of fresh meats and cheeses on a bed of crispy greens. The dressing is perfect: not too oily not too acidic, spiced just right. The granite tables are clean, the seating comfortable, the waitresses and cooks are very pleasant. The decor is pleasantly charming. Although the diner is small there is take-out. Recommend to anyone searching for delicious Italian fare.

So I had four reasons to try out Gianni's Dal'Italia. My brother in-law worked there 20+ years ago and it was a good pizza pie back then so I was curious would it still remain the same? Secondly, I'm always searching for a good slice of NY style which luckily for us in Florida is relatively easy to find. Third, DavidC had spoken highly of the quality of the pizza in his review and I trust his recommendations. And last of all, I just so happened to be working in the area that day so it was a no brainer I had to stop in and check it out! So I ordered the Lunch special of two cheese slices and a fountain drink for $5 loaded on some red pepper and not too surprisingly it was a good slice of pie! The dough was perfect, just what you want from a thin crust, not floppy or limp -- these slices cracked but did not break when folded. Yum! Best part was the Mozarella cheese which had a nice flavor to it, probably the one weak aspect was the sauce which was just normal but nothing exceptional. Considering the crust and cheese were so good made up for any sauce deficiencies. The dining room is pleasant and recently remodeled, because my brother in-law's description of the place 20 years ago was it being dark and not nearly as nice as what they have now. There are a couple of outside tables as well, not that the strip mall setting is particularly scenic, but I did sit outside and this gave me an opportunity to reminiscence about childhood trips to the Chuck E. Cheese which is located a dozen store fronts down the way. Chuck E. Cheese may have been good for video games, those giant plastic ball pits, and most importantly musical medleys lead by a giant anthropomorphic mouse --- but when you're all grown up and want a good pizza pie you should skip the rat and hit up Gianna's Dal'Italia instead!

My husband and I are so happy we found this place. Thanks, Yelp reviewers! We had a half plain/half bacon pizza, small NY thin crust (15"), and it was so delicious and cost around $13. Great sauce and cheese, plenty of bacon, and near perfect crust. We devoured the whole thing. Can't wait to go back again. We'd also highly recommend the meat lover's calzone. The large one is around $22 and can easily feed 4 people. Yummy!

I have been a customer at Gianni's for a very long time. This great New York Pizza is the best thing in this area I have found a worth the driving long distances to eat. I have had other imitators that claim they have the best in the area but nothing can top Gianni's. What makes them stand out is the high quality of products including the cheese. I don't like being covered in low quality meat and cheese juice that the "competitor" use on their pizza. I also use Gianni's for my training classes at work. It's always nice to be able to place the order and have it ready when I need it to be. I hate ordering from places and either have to follow up to make sure it ready or have some delay that could have been avoided. With Gianni's it's always been, place the order and they will take care of the rest. If you need catering, this is definitely the place to call. As far as atmosphere this is a very nice, extremely clean and very family friendly. Stop in and say "Hi" to Johnny and his crew you will not be disappointed. Tell Him Dave sent ya..

This is one of the best pizza places in St Petersburg we eat here at least 2 times if not 3 times a week sometime the staff is OK jason is the best pizza maker and Gianni is just a nice nice person the best pizza so good

They just remodeled this place and lost a lot of seating, but it looks great. I like the food here. They package well for take out. They no longer serve veal which is a bummer. No proscuito either. They do serve an italian sausage parmesean sub which is great because every where else they come covered with peppers and onions

Rhiannon F.
Absolute best pizza (other than my husband's homemade pies). Authentic New York slices with light sauce, thin, crispy crust, and just enough cheese. I always get mine well done (they bake with slices-to-be-reheated-to-perfection in mind, which means a little less done than I prefer to start sometimes). Great service... if they'd just deliver, it'd be perfect! We have kids who are sometimes driven nuts because they have to wait for mom and dad to eat real pizza at Gianni's before we can walk over to Chuck E. Cheese (in the same plaza) to go play. But their fussing is totally worth every bite. :-)

I just picked up a large pizza extra cheese, bacon & onion. While the flavors are good and I don't mind paying for toppings, it would be nice if you could get what you pay for...they are very stingy on all the toppings. Extra cheese is not worth it nor were any of the toppings.

Terrific pizza. Always have gone to Gigi's and Little Italy but I was impressed . Jason our Chef was very nice and explained the process of making the dough and how the brick oven was superior to other methods. Definitely will be a customer.Awesome!!!

Nice quality slices with a proper flakey crust. Good lunch deals. Clean and decorated well for a strip mall. Speciality slices set them apart. The veggie slice needs 2 hands to hold. Total salad on a pie.

As a New Yorker I'm beyond picky on my pizza places. Gianni's is by far the best New York style pizza in St. Pete. I've been coming here for 13 years. I will suggest this place to anyone who loves pizza and give it 2 thumbs up. The Only reason I can't give a 5 star rating is well....it isn't New York.

We first found Gianni's by accident. Decided to give them a shot, and were pleasantly surprised! Great pizza (good crust, fresh ingredients and killer sauce), and the staff keeps us coming back too. Friendly, helpful and fun. Best NY style pizza in St Pete!

Nestled in a strip mall next to a Chuck E. Cheeses (the antithesis of pizza), this joint caught me by surprise. Their audacious billboard truck was a gauntlet thrown - its claim of "New York' authenticity was loud and garish enough to bring out the pizza-loving Bronx Elitist in me. It was around lunch time, so i decided to hop in and put them to the test. Five bucks for two plain slices and a drink really ain't bad. Even with a topping on each slice, it's still under six. They've got Sicilian, too, and real garlic knots (I'm continually surprised by how many people don't know what those are). The pies are significantly spendier, but looked decent. The components were top notch: Grande (tm) Wisconsin Mozzarella, bright, flavorful sauce (not too much sugar, just the right herbal notes), and a solid, crisp bottom/chewy middle crust. It held a fold for efficient scarfing and didn't give under the weight the pie. Toppings were plentiful but were applied to a precooked pie instead of being included in the first bake. This makes financial sense for the shop because they don't have to devote an entire pie to mushroom or olive, but comes at the cost of presentation and some flavor. Overall, this NY boy is happy he found a pizza joint that dishes out slices of home.

BEST Italian food! My husband and I are Gianni's Junkies! They are our fun food and our favorite food. I love Gianni's food because it's fresh and excellent ingredients. Just think weekend we got a mushroom pizza and eggplant parm dinner. AMAZING! Gianni's is an asset to this area. I've been following Gianni's for 20 years. I am so glad to see this revival of a great family owned business! Their rewards program is so nice because we, as patrons, are recognized for our return business! Bravo!

I love this place, right around the corner from my house- The white spinach pizza is great- lots of ricotta cheese. I love their canolies as well. One thing that is always nice is when you go in the service is great, quick and you feel like your at home.

I noticed this place on yelp with "near perfect rating." Well it should be "perfect" in my opinion! Luckily, I live very close this place, so I decided to give it a shot. Honestly, I've ordered the same pizza the few times that I ate there. Italian margarita.it is so good, I just can't make myself venture away from that choice. Love the basel taste with that mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. What a perfect combination! I've ordered it before in the restaurants, but never had it as carry out. Simply delicious! Philly cheese steak pizza has also caught my eye, but like I said, I've only ordered a carry out and I'm not yet ready to part from my original choice... My husband a friends who also tried it, loved it! Gotta say, not very good the next day, so make sure you know how much you want to eat when you order.

Small strip mall pizza parlour with a dozen comfortable booth type tables. Pizzas made to order, brick oven. Excellent crust. I think they could upgrade quality of their regular cheese topping a bit. If so, I'd give 5 stars. But at this reasonable price break, if you eat the pizza hot out the oven, the cheese works fine. As it cools, cheese loses its original taste some. I'm a real connoisseur when it comes to pizzas, others may not even notice. If you like extra sauce on pizza just let them know. These pizzas are custom-made to your liking. Friendly staff and owner. Definitely a good value and nice experience. Did I say excellent crust!!!

This is the best pizza I've had in the US and A. Best pizza ever was in Naples, Italy and this comes amazing close to that. I think I'm in trouble. I see a lot more pizza eating in my future.

Best pizza I've found on the island. I'm a NY pizza snob (so sue me!) and this is right up there with any pie shop in the Bronx or Coney Island. The Margherita pizza was done perfectly, the spices on the pizza seemed picked from someone's backyard, and the cheese was salty and stringy. Service was good. 5 Stars - can't wait to go back.

I most recently ate at Gianni's NY Pizza in St Pete and it is a small place, but has excellent pizza and food there. We were surprised by the extensive menu they had there and the taste of the pizza and its ingredients. Service was fantastic and very attentive and we loved the fact that they serve beer and wine there as well. Would definitely return there for a neat dining experience. Pleasantly surprised!

My favorite pizza in the Tyrone area. I love this restaurant. You can order online for pickup. The only pitfall no delivery :-( They have many other menu items and so many of my "snowbird visitors" rave on the steak and cheese and calzones. Great cheese "sticks," not sticks triangles and they have garlic knots of pizza dough that are yummy!!! They are friendly, the kitchen/restaurant is clean, and it's reasonably priced. PLEASE start delivering Gianni's!!!!

We were craving pizza and wanted to try something new, so we scoured through the local yelp reviews and found Gianni's. It was not close to us, so we were going to have to venture out to give this place a try. We ordered a large pie, half veggie deluxe and half the works. I also picked up some garlic/parm wings. We ordered take out, so we cannot truly review the location itself. The pizza was still hot when we got home after a 15 minute drive. The veggie half was very much enjoyed as was the works. The wings were of decent size, but felt they were just a bit lacking in the flavor at first. It seemed like most of the parm, butter, and garlic had come off the wings, but was still in the bottom of the tin they came in. Once i started dipping the wings in the seasoning, the flavor was nice. Overall, we were happy with exploring a different pizza spot. The food was quite good and we would recommend any friends in the are to stop by and give them a shot. I look forward to trying some of their other offerings in the near future.

I recently decided to check this place out 1., because I'm a total freak for NY style pie, and 2., they're reasonably close to my house. I went in for a two slice lunch - NY style, natch. The pizza was just 'ok', and not phenomenal; the slices were quite dry from a stingy application of sauce and rebaking, and the (rather sparse) toppings had a good flavor, but again, nothing you'd founder on. Worse, they forgot the side of marinara I ordered AND paid for. Overall, I'd say they're just average... If you're really serious about having a good NY style pizza, check out Fortunato's in downtown St Pete, which, IMHO, is STILL the best around... UPDATE 5/31/15: Within 15 minutes of my previous review, the owner contacted me to correct my 1st impression through the generous offer of a free large pizza (WHO does that these days? These folks. That's who.), which I recently redeemed. This time around, the experience was worlds beyond my previous visit; the pizza, was fresh, hot, delicious, and made to order - no skimping on the toppings, either. Though I didn't dine in (pick up, this time) the service was both courteous and professional, despite being busier than my 1st visit. Overall, this was a great experience resulting in a NY style pizza I will not only be returning for (after all, I'm "The Duke" of Gianni's now, according to Yelp), but also recommend highly to visitors and locals alike. Great job, folks!

Got here just before close on a Saturday night. Clean establishment with good decor. Obviously we don't go here for the decor though! The pizza was excellent. The crust is the probably the most perfect crust I have had to my liking. I really enjoyed how thin and crispy it was without also being burnt like many other places. Sauce was spot on. I think I could have done for more flavor on the toppings but that is more of a personal preference. I will be going here again for pizza cravings.

We visited Gianni's on the recommendation of a local. Take out was not an option and dining in ended up being somewhat awkward. There were a few booths and tables, and our group of five crammed into a booth on the side since the larger round booth in the corner was taken. People in line to order or pickup hovered over us because there was no where else to go. The plates provided were the cheapest, flimsiest paper ones that can be found. Combined with the plastic fork and knife, we again felt awkward as we hacked through a garlic knot trying to share. On to the good news--the pizza was fantastic. Pliable crust for folding, lots and lots of protein on the meat pizza, and a good sauce made this real NY style. The margherita pizza crust was less pliable but was more than acceptable in terms of taste. So five stars for food and three for the dining ambiance averages to a four. If I can recommend anything to the proprietor, it's to get some decent table service.

Finally ... found ... the best slice of NY style Pizza in St.Pete and dare i say it possibly Tampa Bay? I've visited this place 2 times in the last 2 weeks (yes this place is that darn good) to get my NY pizza fix on & it satisfied me each time. true story: when i was younger i remember going to my local pizzera and ordering a slice of pizza from them for a month straight ... well this pizza was SO good that i could probably do that here as well! the cheese, sauce & dough is just the right combination. reminds me a little of Joe's pizza in the west village of NYC, by the crisp of the slices when they come out of the oven. i always order my slices "extra crispy" so that the crust has a little burn to it which i enjoy on all slices. Also had the pepperoni slice but noticed that for some reason the plain cheese slice always seems to come out with larger portions. The walls are plastered with old school black & white pictures and scenery images which gives it a nice local family feel. However, the highlight for me was when I heard the old school Sinatra tunes blasting out from over the speakers. i swore for a second I was back in time, ordering a slice in one of the local Bronx pizzeria's of Arthur ave & Morris park. Any Pizzeria place that can remind me of the Bronx has me sold! plus they even have a rewards program to earn free food with a download of the PERKA app ... how cool is that ! For those who want a glimpse of what a TRUE AUTHENTIC style NY pizza tastes like go and make the journey to this local Pizzera and enjoy the Sinatra!

I have lived in New York for a while, and got spoiled by 2 things there; Bagels and Pizza. I have to say this though, for Florida pizza, this is pretty damn good. The only Pizza I wish they served is the thin crust brick oven pizza. That is what I do miss from NY. I will be back to get their pizza, so far no one has come close to the taste of this place! PS: That comment about the brick oven pizza was a real suggestion. It is something I really miss!

Surprisingly good and I'm even more surprised that I never heard of this place before since I only live five minutes away from it. Awesome cheese, sauce, pepperoni, and pretty good crust too - just the standard NY style crust, but it tastes better than most NY pizza places I've been to in Florida. Very very good cheese sticks too, which are more like mozzarella triangles. You only get three, but they're pretty big and it fills you up. But the cheese is very melty and the breading is great too. I would've only given this place four stars but they earned that fifth star because they have a good rewards program (through Perka - I downloaded the iphone app; not sure if there's a website). Earn points for free appetizers, pizzas, etc. I earned 75 points on my visit (50 points for a first visit and one point for every dollar). Pretty much the same deal as Papa John Rewards but higher quality pizza. Great little restaurant with damn good food. I'll definitely be back.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!!! Just wish we would've found it sooner then our last day of vacation. Started out with the garlic knots highly recommend the marinara sauce to dip it in. Outstanding flavor. The Greek salad was great with the fresh feta cheese. Tried the pesto artichoke and gourmet veggie deluxe pizza both were fantastic. Can't wait for next years vacation to go back again or please bring one to Columbus Ohio.

After reading some great Yelp reviews, we picked up a couple of pizzas for some friends coming over. We got a margarita pizza and a meatball with ricotta, which we ordered online. The pizzas were ready when we got there without a problem, they were very friendly, and the pizzas were amazing. These were just not your average pizza- the dough was crisp and tasty. The toppings were awesome - they obviously have an eye towards the small details. We would not hesitate to go back and try more of this great pizza place.

Delicious, authentic NY style pizza. Having just moved down here temporarily from NJ it's hard finding a place that does pizza the right way. This place is it for me. I really felt like I was back home for a second and it was a great experience. Pizza maker had a great personality. Food was delicious. Absolutely recommend! :)

People rave about this place, but frankly I don't get it. The food is okay but very overpriced for what you get. Tonight I got chicken parm with spaghetti. It was served in an aluminum disposable pan and I was provided with plastic utensils. I could almost count the few strands of spaghetti in the pan with the chicken. The sauce was very bland. For the premium price I expect at least a real plate and metal silverware, which is standard at other such restaurants. Since I know of at least two other local places serving the same fare (and better tasting) for less, I don't plan to return. Still, I feel I'm almost alone according to the reviews, but the five other people with me were also expecting better. I guess the cook who left to start his own restaurant took all the good recipes and silverware with him because his place is great!

Outstanding NY style pizza. The ingredients were fresh, the crust was perfect. Reasonably priced with great service, this place is a winner! Like the Terminator, I'll be back.

You can't beat hot out of the oven, especially when they cook right on the oven stones. For some reason, almost all shops here cook the pies on a screen. Easier - yes. Crispy & chew thin crust - NOT. Owners that care = as good a pizza that I've had here in The Swamp. Thanks for inviting me back Johnny. The cheese steak was superb as well.

Stromboli is very good! The pizza is OK as long as you eat there. Don't do a take out. Antipasto is AMAZIN!!! Best I've ever had and when you get your garlic knots ask for them to be with garlic and olive oil. I drive from NE St Pete to get their Stromboli :)

Our first visit here, and we have officially found our pizza joint. I am ashamed to say we've lived in the neighborhood for a year, and I never really thought about this place. We ordered carryout tonight - an XL extra cheese Sicilian, a large half mushroom/half sausage, and a five-count garlic wings. Duuude... a unanimous "yum" from all 6 of us. Full bellies, happiness -- blows the chains away.

The Pizza is the best in St. Pete handsdown! If you are after a place with great pizza and wonderful service this is the place. Small interior if staying there, they do take away too! Try their antipasta salad too. Affordable, kid friendly, authentic, and yummy!

I love this place, right around the corner from my house- The white spinach pizza is great- lots of ricotta cheese. I love their canolies as well. One thing that is always nice is when you go in the service is great, quick and you feel like your at home.

Bravo!

I come from southern New England and you couldn't get me to go to a national chain if you paid for my pizza. Gianni's is my local choice if I'm looking for a traditional pizza. The crust is consistent, not too thin and not too thick. Perfect and always fresh. The cheese is Grande and they don't skimp. If they did I wouldn't be going there. The sauce and toppings are delicious. But they are not the perfect place. I do have some issues with some of the other offerings. I was very disappointed with the meatball grinder. It was awhile ago, I only bought one, but I remember it being 2 fat whole meatballs in a 9 inch roll with very little sauce and cheese sprinkled over the top. It was also not well toasted. Cut the meatballs up, line the bread with sauce, throw a little more sauce over the top, layer a couple of full slices of cheese and toast it fully. I'd give their meatball 2 stars at best. My wife loves Margherita pizza. They have 2 or 3 different kinds. All of them have a tomato sauce base. A traditional Margherita does not have a red sauce base where we come from. But Gianni's is not alone, all local places we've tried except for Carrabba's and Whole Foods, use a red sauce base. Maybe a Florida thing? Also I love ground sausage instead of sliced. It is so much more flavorful. Unfortunately Gianni's is stuck in a time warp and they don't offer it. The girls at the register are great but one of the cooks seems to have an angry, anti social attitude. But he makes a good pie, so whatever. It's not fair that most of this review is negative and if I could give 3 1/2 stars I would. But I'm a tough reviewer when it comes to pizza restaurants. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly. I updated my review to 4 stars. Since this is my favorite local place to get traditional pizza 3 was a little harsh. Plus as I look to review other pizza restaurants many fall in the 3 star range and Gianni's is better than them.

Greatly over rated. The pepperoni pizza was greasy and had a salty taste. The order taker and others were indifferent. The tables while not dirty had crumbs on them. Maybe it was an off night because customers were steadily coming in.

Gianni's is a reasonably priced, tasty pizza place! It's nearby, so my husband and I have tried their classic pepperoni and cheese pizza, meat lovers and a couple of calzones. Haven't been disappointed yet! Quick and tasty, def worth a try.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Owner contacted me and took care of me. Good customer service.

Visiting Treasure Island for a weekend and had to find a Ny style pizzeria. Gianni's had tasty pizza, and the meatballs were great. The crust was a bit chewy, but didn't bother is too much. The sauce is incredible (tastes like what is also on the meatballs) and I almost licked the container. Try it!

(5)M K.
This Italian kid from NYC has eaten here several times. As good as you'd get in the Bronx!
(4)G V.
Chance brought us here. Fantastic fresh made dough, lots of yummy mozzarella and a sauce that compliments the fresh veggies! Had the "TheWorks" and left stuffed and happy! The garlic french fries also earned an A+.
(5)Zack J.
LOVE THE GRANDMA PIZZA!!! It's been almost a year since I have been back in FL and I have to admit, the last time that I was in St Pete was the last time I had such authentic NY style pizza! A little pricey but for the quality, it is absolutely worth it!!!
(5)Alyx B.
Great NY style Pizza! I love the pizza and the garlic knots are unreal!
(5)Bob S.
Kids and I always make a point of eating at Gianni's every time were in St. Pete...great ny pizza

Looking for authentic New York style pizza in st. Petersburg area? Look no more, it is as good as it get! It is the real deal!
(4)Anthony G.
The Very Best Pizza! A must if you are in Florida
(5)Roger D.
This review comes from our second experience with their pizza. We got the goat cheese special... It was stellar! Enough to justify an extra star on our rating.
(5)Joanie H.
The Pizza is the best in St. Pete handsdown! If you are after a place with great pizza and wonderful service this is the place. Small interior if staying there, they do take away too! Try their antipasta salad too. Affordable, kid friendly, authentic, and yummy!
(5)Enbar C.
Thin, crispy pizza.
(4)Paul C.
(5)Jack O.
Delicious!! The pizza was superb:-) I will definitely be a repeat customer when in St.Pete !!
(5)Christina E.

(4)Tom E.
Some of the best pizza in town, and good service. I really recommend it!
(4)Shannon A.
Yummy!
(5)David K.
(5)Debbie P.
This is one of the best pizza places in St Petersburg we eat here at least 2 times if not 3 times a week sometime the staff is OK jason is the best pizza maker and Gianni is just a nice nice person the best pizza so good
(5)Melissa A.
They just remodeled this place and lost a lot of seating, but it looks great. I like the food here. They package well for take out. They no longer serve veal which is a bummer. No proscuito either. They do serve an italian sausage parmesean sub which is great because every where else they come covered with peppers and onions
(3)Rhiannon F.
(5)Donna V.
I just picked up a large pizza extra cheese, bacon & onion. While the flavors are good and I don't mind paying for toppings, it would be nice if you could get what you pay for...they are very stingy on all the toppings. Extra cheese is not worth it nor were any of the toppings.
(2)Gary H.
Terrific pizza. Always have gone to Gigi's and Little Italy but I was impressed . Jason our Chef was very nice and explained the process of making the dough and how the brick oven was superior to other methods. Definitely will be a customer.Awesome!!!
(4)Ottis T.
Some of the best pie in Tampa Bay by far! Consistent quality and flavor, and attentive service. Check out the Italian Margherita for a real pizza treat!
(5)Mark C.
Nice quality slices with a proper flakey crust. Good lunch deals. Clean and decorated well for a strip mall. Speciality slices set them apart. The veggie slice needs 2 hands to hold. Total salad on a pie.
(4)Mark M.
(4)David M.
We first found Gianni's by accident. Decided to give them a shot, and were pleasantly surprised! Great pizza (good crust, fresh ingredients and killer sauce), and the staff keeps us coming back too. Friendly, helpful and fun. Best NY style pizza in St Pete!
(5)David C.
(4)Christine H.
Bravo!
(5)Jay P.
Italian Margherita pizza is out of this world .... Friendly staff, quick service, and good prices. This place is a great find
(5)Phil O.
Good pizza, wings, salads and hot and cold subs. I literally have not had a bad meal here. Highly recommend!
(4)Lisa R.
I love this place, right around the corner from my house- The white spinach pizza is great- lots of ricotta cheese. I love their canolies as well. One thing that is always nice is when you go in the service is great, quick and you feel like your at home.
(5)Yana W.
(5)Brian G.
(4)Daryl Y.
Excellent Pizza. Small unassuming place in a strip mall but huge on flavor and value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for pizza in st. pete. I look forward to our next trip so we can revisit this amazing eatery. D.
(5)Maria A.
Affordable and delicious! This was one of the best pizza's I've had in a while. Highly recommended.
(5)Joshua S.
This is the best pizza I've had in the US and A. Best pizza ever was in Naples, Italy and this comes amazing close to that. I think I'm in trouble. I see a lot more pizza eating in my future.
(5)Richard R.
(5)Robert O.
(5)Tracy K.
(5)Joshua B.

(4)Jenette S.
Mm decent NYC pizza and a big slice. I've been here a couple times and they are always on point. Closest you can get to NYC pizza in St. Pete Florida! Fast and friendly service.
(4)Sarah K.
(4)Jen P.
(4)Mitchel R.
The pizza was really good. I would definitely go back...the only drawbacks were that it was a little expensive & they dont deliver.
(4)Larry C.
Finally ... found ... the best slice of NY style Pizza in St.Pete and dare i say it possibly Tampa Bay?

(4)John L.
(5)Joan S.
(5)Rep D.
(5)Ruby S.
(4)Sylvester M.
Great New York Style pizza, calzones, Stromboli, pastas, and salads. Pizza by giant slice, that you will have to fold in half to eat. Casual small dining area.
(4)Jorelle L.
Try it!

(3)Jerry H.
Outstanding NY style pizza. The ingredients were fresh, the crust was perfect. Reasonably priced with great service, this place is a winner! Like the Terminator, I'll be back.
(5)Steve K.
(5)Lex A.
(4)Amanda J.
Gianni's is a reasonably priced, tasty pizza place! It's nearby, so my husband and I have tried their classic pepperoni and cheese pizza, meat lovers and a couple of calzones. Haven't been disappointed yet! Quick and tasty, def worth a try.
(4)Marilyn F.
Best Philly cheesesteak I've had. Great service. Nice people. Every one raves about the pizza. Haven't tried it myself but nice to see you can order by the slice.
(5)Catherine R.
(5)Raul M.
Had a large pizza that was delicious. Loved the large menu. We will be back for aure. Staff was excellent.
(5)Letha B.
We come here often. The prices aren't bad and the food is excellent! The staff is always friendly too. Can't say a bad thing about it.
(5)Charles C.
The owner is a stand up guy, he replied to my review and very responsive to his customers. I only went once but I will go again in the future. Kudos

This review comes from our second experience with their pizza. We got the goat cheese special... It was stellar! Enough to justify an extra star on our rating.

I love this place, right around the corner from my house- The white spinach pizza is great- lots of ricotta cheese. I love their canolies as well. One thing that is always nice is when you go in the service is great, quick and you feel like your at home.

Some of the best pizza in town, and good service. I really recommend it!

This is one of the best pizza places in St Petersburg we eat here at least 2 times if not 3 times a week sometime the staff is OK jason is the best pizza maker and Gianni is just a nice nice person the best pizza so good
(5)Melissa A.
(4)Mark M.
(4)David M.
We first found Gianni's by accident. Decided to give them a shot, and were pleasantly surprised! Great pizza (good crust, fresh ingredients and killer sauce), and the staff keeps us coming back too. Friendly, helpful and fun. Best NY style pizza in St Pete!
(5)David C.

Bravo!
(5)Jay P.
Italian Margherita pizza is out of this world .... Friendly staff, quick service, and good prices. This place is a great find
(5)Amie S.
We ordered the garlic butter knots as recommended by the cashier. She also recommended we order the works pizza on half we got the spinach with white cheese. They were amazing.

(4)Russell M.
Greatly over rated. The pepperoni pizza was greasy and had a salty taste. The order taker and others were indifferent. The tables while not dirty had crumbs on them. Maybe it was an off night because customers were steadily coming in.
(2)John A.

Owner contacted me and took care of me. Good customer service.

The Very Best Pizza! A must if you are in Florida

Looking for authentic New York style pizza in st. Petersburg area? Look no more, it is as good as it get! It is the real deal!
(4)Paul C.
(5)Jack O.
Delicious!! The pizza was superb:-) I will definitely be a repeat customer when in St.Pete !!
(5)Christina E.
We just got home from New York & I think this pizza is every bit as good if not better than NYC. We order from here all the time and have never been disappointed. If they delivered we would be eating this pizza entirely too often! We get the margarita pizza w fresh garlic, pepperoni and sausage added!
(5)Catherine R.
(5)John L.
(5)Joan S.
(5)Rep D.
(5)Ruby S.
(4)Sylvester M.
Great New York Style pizza, calzones, Stromboli, pastas, and salads. Pizza by giant slice, that you will have to fold in half to eat. Casual small dining area.
(4)Robert O.
(5)Yana W.
(5)Brian G.
(4)Daryl Y.
Excellent Pizza. Small unassuming place in a strip mall but huge on flavor and value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for pizza in st. pete. I look forward to our next trip so we can revisit this amazing eatery. D.

(5)Raul M.
Had a large pizza that was delicious. Loved the large menu. We will be back for aure. Staff was excellent.

We come here often. The prices aren't bad and the food is excellent! The staff is always friendly too. Can't say a bad thing about it.

(5)Tracy K.
(5)Joshua B.
(4)Jerry H.
Outstanding NY style pizza. The ingredients were fresh, the crust was perfect. Reasonably priced with great service, this place is a winner! Like the Terminator, I'll be back.
(5)Steve K.
(5)Ron G.
(4)Jenette S.
Mm decent NYC pizza and a big slice. I've been here a couple times and they are always on point. Closest you can get to NYC pizza in St. Pete Florida! Fast and friendly service.
(4)Jen P.

(4)Sarah K.
(4)Chris H.
(3)Lex A.
